The City of Houston BARC Adoption Center is fast approaching its spectacular completion previewed for Spring 2015. A state of the art animal adoption and care facility, its unique and elegant design was conceived by a leading international retail designer for the benefit of BARC. It will include approx.. 12,000 sq. ft. of functional space which will serve multiple purposes – housing for 100+ dogs, adoption services, exercise space and animal-friendly open areas for interaction with prospective adopters.
The Adoption Center – the first of its kind in Houston – has a $17 Million overall construction budget. The City of Houston funded $6 Million required for Phase One.
