September 27, Melodies of Gratitude:  Wild Tunes’ Third Annual Concert Benefiting BARC

The Houston BARC Foundation had the distinct honor to be chosen again this year to be one of the beneficiaries of the Wild Tunes’ 3rd Annual “Melodies of Gratitude” concert on Saturday evening. Joining us was Jarrad Mears, BARC Shelter Director, as well. The Houston BARC Foundation is matching dollar-for-dollar the funds distributed to BARC to benefit the animals at the BARC Shelter. The evening was a big success and the BARC Shelter will receive a total of $38,000 including the match from Houston BARC Foundation! Yuvi Agarwal, a young talented musician, created this wonderful volunteer program to have local musicians come in to play music for the animals at BARC and other shelters around the area. HIs program has taken off and is now in 6 states across the country! It’s amazing how this beautiful music calms the animals… Channel 39’s Kara Willis served as the evening’s emcee.
